Meet Dr. David Lasater

DavidDr. David Lasater was born and raised in Washington State he has been in practice for 25 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and graduated from Southern College of Optometry in May of 1990. While studying for his Doctorate in Optometry he became a member of the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanities (VOSH) and served in Costa Rica. Dr. Lasater is also an honored member of the US Army Reserve Officer Medical Corps and has managed optometry care for Service Members going to and from Afghanistan and Iraqi. He has advocated for the eye care needs of deploying soldiers at the level of the pentagon to establish policy and procedures to support soldiers in obtaining appropriate care.
Dr. Lasater is a devoted husband to his wife Lucinda who is a professor of nursing at Pacific Lutheran University. He is also father to six adult children and ten grandchildren. Dr. Laster and his wife have recently moved to Harstine Island to share their country acres with their large family. They enjoy several outdoor adventures as part of living in the Northwest and delight in sharing the solace of their new home with family and friends.
